So my kitchen sink won’t drain but when I tried to clean the P trap water came pouring it from the pipes in the wall, not the backed up sink. My upstairs neighbor was plunging their sink and every time they did it made the water in mine go higher. We have drained a bit but still have icky standing water. Waiting to see if Maintenance considers it enough of an emergency to respond tonight or if I have to hope there’s no more backup overnight and my sink overflows. #ApartmentLiving

How good or how bad is #satellite service when you live in an apartment building?

For the next few years nothing will be built outside my side of the building. Pretty much a clear view of the sky. I've seen balconies with satellite dishes (not our building). I wonder if I could do the same. Is it worth getting #Starlink hardware? No 2-year contract (unlike fiber, cable) is what I like about it. But the hardware is really pricey.

I got this bag of potting mix some time ago -- I wanted to plant little sunflowers from seeds but kept procrastinating. 😅

So anyway... 📝 Move the 🟠 #Celosia into a bigger pot and add potting mix.

Now I'm thinking maybe I'll move both 🟠+🔴 into one bigger pot or planter.

Wow. 😳 In less than an hour, the droopy #Celosia got all perky after watering. 😃👍

The orange one seems much* thirstier than the crimson one. It gets really* droopy. 🤷‍♀️ Been needing to water it every 2 days.

Living in apartments - which I have done for all of my adult life - is really hard for me. My sound sensitivities make living beneath others miserable even in the best of circumstances, and I’m constantly worried about being too loud for my downstairs neighbors. I feel like I can never truly relax. Last night the people upstairs were doing something that emitted a loud, low frequency sound that I could not block out. I tried earplugs, my sound machine, sleep music, and all combinations of these things, but I was still up half the night because of that sound. Now that I know that I am autistic, I at least understand why sounds like this bother me so much, and I also understand why other people aren’t bothered by these things. And knowing that does help, but it doesn’t make it easier to endure. I’m pretty sure the sound was something that most people wouldn’t even hear, so it’s not like I can complain about it or ask them to stop doing it. And unfortunately, moving to a house is not an option. As it stands, I shell out over 2/3 of my monthly income just to pay the rent for a fairly small 2 bedroom apartment in my city. And with so many unsheltered people in my community, I am constantly reminded that I am fortunate to even have the housing I do. But I sure do dream of living in a space that isn’t surrounded by other people!! How do other autistic folks cope with the difficulties of apartment living? #ActuallyAutistic #ApartmentLiving

Thanks. 🙂🙏 The #DesertRose is getting plenty of sun, from sunrise till around noon. I've only had it for 5 weeks. It grew a good deal of new leaves till the mealybugs showed up and the leaves started falling off. 🤷‍♀️ So far, no more yellowing/dropping leaves. 🤞

It's warm here most of the year. Cool #weather is rare. Strong winds and heavy rain (and my #YellowThumbs) are quite problematic, but not cold temperatures. 😃👍
