After my visit to All Electronics soon-to-be-closed storefront, at the advice of another customer I met there, I went up the road to Apex Surplus in Sun Valley.

And holy crap, is *that* a cool place. It's apparently the go-to store if you're a Hollywood props or set designer, in addition to DIYers.

I could have easily spent days just wandering around in there. (As it was, I got kicked out when they closed at 4PM and I'd only gotten to about 25% of it.)
