How serious are the extractive industries in the transition to sustainable practices?

Well they make lots of claims about how much their investing for the transition, but in aggregated terms the #Oil & #mining sectors allocated around 30% of their operating cash flow to buying back their own shares.

This is the classic strategy of paying off execs with bonus schemes, while allowing other investors to (partially) withdraw their stakes.

Looks to me like making hay before the #Apocolypse!
