One of the most interesting concepts to understand some of the ways in which intolerance, contempt and rejection of social groups (in addition to racism, xenophobia, sexism or the multiple forms of discrimination, and even attacks, towards LGBTIQ+ people) are manifested today is "aporophobia", a neologism created by the Spanish philosopher Adela Cortina.
"Because we can’t recognize something we can’t name, she proposes the term “aporophobia” for the pervasive exclusion, stigmatization, and humiliation of the poor, which cuts across xenophobia, racism, antisemitism, and other prejudices".
