Here's a #postcard of Goldsmiths, University of London - back in the day I was Registrar & Secretary here, and it still has a special place in my heart - a totally impossible place but it always brings a smile to my face

It was founded by the Company of #Goldsmiths in the City of London, so is properly Goldsmiths' College (note the #apostrophe) but the #punctuation was routinely missing or wrong, and was dropped from the branding in the 1990s

The ODF file formats like .odt used by Libreoffice and more are just ZIP files containing a XML file and attachments.

Is there an equivalent for #Markdown containing one or more .md files and media like images? For example .mz extension but it's a just a ZIP.

It would be exported by Markdown editors and imported by online publishing services, for example.

Many know that an #apostrophe (often ‘s) typically indicates possession (as in Mary’s book), sometimes omission, typically of i or o (as in he’s reading, doesn’t matter). Few know that it can also indicate plurality (as in do’s and don’ts) but fewer know that the latter indicates donuts 🍩

Some random #proofreading thoughts:

The borrowed #Latin phrase is "per se," not "per say," "persay," "perse," etc.

And while we're on the subject, "et cetera" is properly shortened "etc." (or, less commonly, "&c."), not "ect."

An #apostrophe is NOT nature's way of saying, "Look out! Here comes an S!"

No matter how carefully you compose, always get another pair of eyes to look at your work. I'm a proofreader and #CopyEditor and I get someone else to check my writing.
