However, the humidity was 100%.

The river didn't help.

I tried to go out under the patio but it was impossible to breathe.

The humidity is was so thick this morning you could have cut it with a butter knife.

It was nice. When circumstances had us moving back Southwestern Ohio, it did not suit us, and when the time was right, we moved over an hour east to #AppalachianOhio.

Same mountain range and lifestyle we had there. We live on the edge of the Ohio River and the mountains, less humidity than the Smoky Mountains, too.

Almost heaven.

There were several places they made entry. Had to take extreme measures to stop them. They also tore through the wood around the sewer roof vent stack.

Dealing with racoons is part of living in #AppalachianOhio

Right now, we also have a mesh electrical fence around the house to aggravate them and try to keep them from crossing over to the house.

Hopefully they will give up and stop using us as one of their hotel stops. it's been a battle. It's been a war.

@dell I was using over-the-air (OTA) and streaming for almost a decade with no cable and then moved to rural #AppalachianOhio where we get no OTA signals. Not even PBS.

Luckily, Spectrum Charter has a small, "get locals and pick-your-channels," package.

I have 15 channels plus locals and Fox News isn't one of them. That's $3 bucks they don't get from me for being a cable subscriber.

I miss OTA. I had so many great channels.

Next weekend is our #AppalachianOhio small village cleanup and recycling day.

There are dumpsters, items separated for responsible salvage or disposal. Chemicals, oil, used medications, tires, everything. There are volunteers to come to your home &pickup large or if you have a lot to dispose of.

The village setups a little fair, too, like an old English village fête.

It's small town living at its best.

Our #Ohio village is only 2500feet by 5500feet wide with 527 households &1700 residents.

It sends a chill down my spine when it flies over

Because it is so close, you hope for the blades to shutdown, meaning it landed safely & won't be in your front room in parts & because of the terrible news some family is going to get tonight and the shape the patient must be in

It's rough to have someone rushed to the hospital, rougher when they are flown so far away. There it goes.

Absent all the murdering, how wonderful it must be to live in a little 1990's #MidsomerMurders village.

No hussel and bustle. Laid back, village green events, coffee shop and pubs owned by locals, no big box stores and franchises, etc.

We only have the pick 10 channels and local TV stations. Lowest possible package. We had over the air tv until we moved here but we are in #AppalachianOhio in-between 3 tv markets and get zero over the air channels. They don't even show up in antennaWeb.and ChannelMaster.
