To the #Swift experts:
How do I have to handle #CoreData fetch requests in #AppIntents Shortcuts?
For some reason my code crashes whenever the app is running in background. Once the app is closed, my fetch works fine … :thonkpad:
I am starting to work on a new app.
It uses HealthKit, Photo Library, SwiftData, MapKit, CloudKit, SharePlay, WidgetKit, AppIntents and more frameworks.
Available on iPhone, iPad, and Vision Pro.

I am curious if anyone knows how this works in an EntityPropertyQuery. Not sure I understand how to get the menu of items based on a property.

Building #AppIntents on macOS 13, when openAppWhenRun is false the the App gets launched in a backgrounded state. Is there any sane way to detect when this happens? I need to avoid doing some UI related tasks in this situation but I have no idea how to detect it reliably. #SwiftUI
As I rearchitect @app here’s an absolute gem: with #AppIntents and 41 lines of code I’ve surfaced the entire Singapore Buses database to Shortcuts and made it searchable.
