Officially dumping #AppleFitness rings for @_Davidsmith’s Pedometer++. Fantastic app and does its job by simply recording my steps and stairs.

And most importantly; it doesn’t make me feel bad when I walk over 7 miles two days in a row and my efforts only count 13 min towards my 30 min exercise ring like #Apple. Yeah, just a bit bitter…

#Wheelchair users, any idea how to get #AppleFitness working *without* buying an Apple Watch? I would have thought a brisk 1km might have made number go up a bit.

At least it hasn't congratulated me for climbing more stairs than usual recently.

Three #Pride moments in #AppleFitness this month, in least-to-most order of impressing me:

1. Rainbow lighting in the studio. Trainers clearly directed to say “Hey, rainbow lighting in the studio!" It didn't actually look very good and they shut em off after week one

2. Coach Kyle daring to just say "queer" one time instead of the corp-friendly “elgeeteebeecueplus”

3. Coach Bakari leading a 20-minute HIIT session wearing a leather corset over a sleeveless Seinfeld puffy shirt and mariachi tie

Today I did my longest run yet. I realised I need a water bottle for these runs. In the last stages of the run, I was facing a sun & it was getting really hot, hence a higher HR at the end and I had to stop.

Hoy ha sido el primer día, en lo que va de año, que no he cerrado los 3 círculos de #AppleFitness, después de que ayer y antes de ayer doblase e incluso superase el 250 de mi objetivo. Creo que Apple debería reconsiderar seriamente el sistema de gamificación que está utilizando. No se puede exigir estar al 100% todos los días sin tener en cuenta la actividad de días anteriores.

Popped an unexpected cheevo in #AppleFitness today: completed my 750th workout.

That seems absurdly high, but I have been summoning up one or two of my prerecorded and parasocially bonded trainer pals nearly every day for over two years now.

This program has suited me very well.

@sand I’ve been saying for years, #Applefitness needs to add “shovelling snow” as an exercise.

A short, solo #Hike tonight around a very muddy trail. Cooler temps then yesterday, but it was nice and peaceful; only ran into one person and their dog.

Listened to #AppleFitness time to walk episode with Brian Tyree Henry, and tried to stop every so often to pick my head up and look around to enjoy the beauty of the moment.
