"My Sweet Lord" is a song by English musician #GeorgeHarrison, released in November 1970 on his triple album #AllThingsMustPass. It was also released as a single, Harrison's first as a solo artist, and topped charts worldwide; it was the biggest-selling single of 1971 in the UK. In America and Britain, the song was the first number-one single by an ex-#Beatle. Harrison originally gave the song to his fellow #AppleRecords artist #BillyPreston to record.

"Carolina in My Mind" is a song originally written and performed by American singer-songwriter #JamesTaylor. It was Taylor's second single from his 1968 #selftitledDebutAlbum. Taylor wrote Carolina in My Mind while in England recording for #theBeatles' label #AppleRecords, and the song's themes reflect his #homesickness at the time. Released as a single in 1969, the song earned critical praise but not commercial success.

#NowPlaying Yoko Ono / Plastic Ono Band (Apple Records, US 1970).
It might be an unpopular opinion, but this record is my favorite album John Lennon and Ringo Starr played on.
Recorded concurrently with John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band album, Yoko Ono's record of the same name features the same musicians, namely John Lennon (guitar), Ringo Starr (drums) and Klaus Voormann (bass), along with the Ornette Coleman Quartet on one cut.

Iconic for so many reasons but it’s interesting The Beatles used a photo rather than an printed design. I like that the apple takes up most of the label, too, rather than just putting a smaller version to the side or above the track listings. Apple Records were NOT the first products put out by Apple Corps, Ltd. Apple Films released Magical Mystery Tour I. 1967. Of course, Apple Records would be most remembered for releasing Billy Preston records. #applerecords #billypreston #vinyl
