What’s the best way to read *and* write CSV tables using the #Shortcuts app?
I’m using the “Split Text” to read them. But to get rows and columns separately, it requires quite some for each loops hacks.

For writing I‘m using Numbers to add it to a table. Though Numbers’ actions only allow to add to existing tables/files. Also it’s not a CSV then.

Maybe I’m missing some suitable system action? Or is there a cool (free) app that can help with that? #Help #AppleShortcuts

#iPadOS: I should know better than to leave tabs open in Safari. Was clearing down this morning and Safari crashed. Tab groups remained intact, but tabs in the default space were lost. Started browsing back through History Book and Surfed, but they weren't that useful in this case. Then I remembered that I have an overnight #Shortcuts #appleshortcuts automation running that backs up a list of open tabs to @drafts. Win.

Tried my hand at Shortcuts. Asks for a Föli bus stop number (displayed on all the stops), and displays the schedule for the next few buses at that stop. Works with Mac, iPhone, and Apple Watch.

Podczas tworzenia mojej nowej strony internetowej często musiałem skorzystać z konwertera z PNG na WebP. Jednak ręczne wpisywanie komend do terminala było dość żmudne, więc zrobiłem skrót na Maca w aplikacji, który robi to za mnie. Klikam PPM na obrazek, który chcę przekonwertować, wybieram Quick Access (Szybki dostęp) i wybieram mój skrót „Convert to WebP” - po chwili tuż obok oryginału pojawia się gotowy plik. Ważne jest, aby mieć zainstalowane na Macu narzędzie „cwebp”.

I love #AppleShortcuts. I made one that searches for a specific song that Shazam recognizes on Spotify and another that does so for youtube. I also made one that automatically turns on my battery savings mode (lowering the brightness, etc etc. ) and another then turns it off.

Apple hat einen Kurzbefehl veröffentlicht, der sich an Menschen mit Kurzzeitgedächtnisproblemen wendet. Zunächst wird man gefragt, woran man sich erinnern möchte, dann ob man auch noch ein Foto dazu machen möchte. Beides wird als visueller Log in einem Tagebucheintrag in die Notizen geschrieben. Auch praktisch für Leute mit #ADHS 🙃. Den Befehl gibt es in der Kurzbefehle-App.

I made an iOS Shortuct for formatting quote retoots! Just click Share, Copy Post, Mastodon Quote ReToot shortcut, then paste into the compose window. I tried adding the ability to add media through the shortcut but was unable to, the easiest way to add photos is normally in the Composition window.

Well it appears that #Apple might have finally fixed the #AppleShortcuts “Go to Home Screen” action in #iOS 16.4.

FB11997377 (Select variable button / feature is no longer working in 16.4 dev beta 1)

When using the "Select Variable" button above the keyboard while editing a shortcut, the selected variable does not get inserted at the desired position / location.

Selecting a variable from the list above the keyboard works as expected, it's just the action of using "Select Variable" that doesn't work.
