#Introduction

I am an environmental economist focused on risks related to #climatechange.

My interests include impacts on households and firms from #extremeweather, understanding interactions between #inequality and climate change, #finance, and impacts of decarbonization. I like to work with micro data and tend to use #appliedmicro methods.

I am currently at the SF Fed, but views here are all my own and don't represent the Fed.

#introduction I work in #AppliedMicro, specially on #crime, #urban, #labour/#labor, #health and #education, usually with some #CausalInference angle. I’m a professor at Newcastle University (it’s #GrimUpNorth as you can see below…) where I’m also currently deputy head of the economics group. Before coming to the U.K. I lived close to Hamburg (in Lüneburg) for a decade where I did my degrees (and had a #fcsp season ticket).
