John Gibbon was born in Philadelphia, but his family moved to North Carolina in his youth and became enslavers.

Three of his brothers chose to fight for the Confederacy, but John Gibbon did not. Instead, he commanded the fierce “Iron Brigade” at the battles of Second Bull Run, South Mountain, Antietam, Fredericksburg and Gettysburg, where his men bore the brunt of Pickett’s Charge, and where he was wounded.

April 9, 1865, Gibbon was at #Appomattox where Lee surrendered.

No offense to the grownup fairy tale believers, but #Easter is on the same day as the anniversary of #Appomattox btw which is something actually worth celebrating imho.

I guess that is certainly offensive and saying "no offense" doesn't make it inoffensive so I'll explain why I take offense at evidence-free conspiracy theory believers and those that spread them.
