I am back from #custody
This is my last month as an #AppropriateAdult #volunteer with the #charity leading the scheme in #Bristol, and i have already clocked out more than 14h...

In #custody to assist vulnerable detained persons.
And I get annoyed, yet again, by the need for a medical diagnosis before they can be taken seriously and listened to.
With the state of our mental health system in the UK, with years of wait before getting an assessment, it is utterly inappropriate. And never helpful to the detained person 😔
