OMG! Look what arrived in the mail! It's the Urban Abstraction Tarot!
https://www.makeplayingcards.com/sell/marketplace/the-urban-abstraction-tarot.html
The quality is really quite good, the cards are printed nicely and cut very precisely. "The Hermit" must be one of the cards where the printer struggled the most with my strange colors and weird contrasts, but even that one is quite good! #tarot #mastoArt #AprilArtJourney

Hey there! Some of you were interested in buying my #AprilArtJourney tarot deck - I completed it and it's now available at https://www.makeplayingcards.com/sell/marketplace/the-urban-abstraction-tarot.html
I'm also working on a less expensive version, but it'll be a slightly different format that does not match the original artwork sproportions as perfectly as this one. I'll keep you posted, if you're interested! #Tarot #mastoArt

0 / 22 THE Fool for #AprilArtJourney. Es to work with the colors (strangely enough).
20 The Aeon for #AprilArtJourney! I'm not sure about this painting, yet I like how colorful it is! Comments and critique welcome.
19 The Sun for #AprilArtJourney. This one was nice. Different from the other ones I feel, much more clear and crisp, but that's what the sun does, right?
Picture shows a bright painting of a big glowing sun above a sharply lit meadow. Two figures stand on the light, outlined in by the harsh light. The sun is a bit 2 dimensional, the rest rather naturalistic.
So now that there are only 4 cards for #AprilArtJourney to paint and I'm still considering printing them, would you be interested? I'm trying to learn how I should approach this, Kickstarter/Indiegogo or just sell them on demand? That would be more expensive afaik, but perhaps it's still interesting?
18 The Moon for #AprilArtJourney. Can't believe there are only 4 more paintings to paint and I'm a free person again! 😱ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚
Picture shows a painting in blues. A huge moon rises above a water surface, only the lowest part bright with light. A dark silhouette walks in front of it. It is small in comparison. Lots of squiggles and scribbles are on the painting.
The finished 17 Star for #AprilArtJourney! It's such a relief after the last few cards.
Image shows a person sitting on the edge of a lake, one hand at their chest, one on their thigh. The painting is very serene and also quite violet. In the distance, there is a forest.
#AprilArtJourney, day 16: the Tower. What a sadly fitting image for today.
Picture shows a dark painting of a tower, struck by lightning. It's in flames, crumbling.
15 The Devil for #AprilArtJourney. I remember that years ago I experienced this card as way more positive. I think I may have been closer to my animalistic, unrestrained side back then. Today, the negativeness vastly outweighs the positive sides for me.
Picture shows a painting in red. A goat's skull is in the upper center in white, two cowering figures sitting beneath it. They are shackled to another, facing away from each other.
14 Art for #AprilArtJourney finished. Probably. This one was fun!
Picture shows a silhouetted male figure standing in front of a blue and yellow and pink background. From above two jets of bright glowing water fall down into his hands. He directs them into the center, where they splash into a mirroring pond.
Working on 14 Art for #AprilArtJourney! This is what I do at the moment, building slowly, layer after layer. And praisokg the gods for quick drying acrylic paint!
The paintings showing the progress. The first is very plain, just a dark silhouette in front of colors. In the 2nd, colors and figure are more done and more defined, the 3rd shows added scribbles and squiggles on top of the rest.
13 Death for the #AprilArtJourney. This one came more easily, but the background... Was a pain to get right.
Picture shows a black skeleton in front of an orange greenish background with lines or strings. It has scissors in its hand and is just cutting stone strings.
12 Hanged Man, when "Man" is for "human" not "male human". #AprilArtJourney This one came quite easily, despite some difficulties. #mastoArt
Picture shows an upside down person, arms spread wide. They are bount to what seems to be a tree. The painting is rough, dominated by light yellowish greens and tealy blues, but also ... calm.
Fun fact: The pose is totally conceived (haha) by ink that I just smeared around on the paper. But getting those boobs even remotely anatomically accurate was a pain! 😩
Picture shows a rough stage of painting, just ink and a rough sketch on top. #AprilArtJourney
#AprilArtJourney 11 Lust. Still not sure about the pose. Still not sure if I like it. But I love the colors!
Picture shows a naked woman from the back, stretching her right arm up, bending back to look at the v. The painting is very red, contrasted by sind greens and yellows. On the left, there's a lions head.
And I must say, this is by far my least favourite card and painting yet. Huh. Wouldn't have guessed. I would have guessed that I disliked 4 Emperor or 5 Hierophant or even 6 Lovers the least. But nah. It's this darn Wheel of Fortune! #AprilArtJourney
