@lyda @brayd neat! I think efficiency-first EVs are going to be Important. I’ve been trying to replace my ICE econobox with an electric, enclosed, three-wheel vehicle for years.

Hopefully #Aptera will make that a reality soon.

No level 3 DC fast charging pretty much kills the #aptera, in my mind. I already have an EV that I can't road trip in. I don't need another one.

Just watched the Aptera Motors Launch Edition reveal webcast.

I suppose there are more awkward ways for three middle aged white guys to ask for $50 million, but that was impressively awkward in its execution.

If #aptera wants to go without as many physical buttons as possible (which it looks like) they really need to improve their touchscreen game. The guy in the video can barely hit those tiny power window buttons on that giant ass screen.

Their Tesla fandom is absolutely not working in their favor here.

I know that I would love to get an #Aptera from my next car. $35k for a car that can go 400mi on a charge, is all-wheel drive, is made of a composite material so the road salt isn't going to destroy it, and has enough solar charging capacity to not need to be plugged in if I drive fewer than 40 mi a day. The only thing left that I would want would be a kick-ass fast charging network.

Wenn ich mir überlege, dass ich ernsthaft in der Vergangenheit darüber nachdachte mir einen #Tesla zu kaufen. Krass. Schäm. Wenn ich irgendwann nicht mehr Rad fahren kann (dauert hoffentlich noch 20-30 Jahre) dann hoffe ich, dass Konzepte wie der #Aptera sich durchgesetzt haben (und ich noch gut genug sehe), oder der #ÖPNV hier vor der Haustür auch ausreicht. Als Rentner sollte ich eines haben: Zeit.
