So I solved my #tail problem with Lavendar with a simple character lore plot device. When they started out learning magic, they botched a growing spell that permanently enchanted their tail. So now they can grow or shrink it to fit their needs.

They also love to use their tail as a form of control with others. Mostly to pull potential playmates closer and/ or bind them. They also use it as a powerful weapon.

I really want to give Lavendar a long tail. Something about that thought puzzles me in figuring out how to make a big tail work for a 5' 6" mouse.

I wanted a deviously delightful antagonist character that pretty much is an amalgamation of my childhood cartoon crushes with my wife's clever character design and our combined ideas for the ultimate predator (in my opinion ;3)

By the way, not trying to judge anyone if they identify with this type of content and label. I'm just putting out my own (and admittedly limited) experience with the term.

When I think of a word and its meaning, I imagine a "picture" even if it's an inaccurate starting point. For example, if you say "vore", my mind will conjure something. Or if you say "bisexual". Or "TF", and so on. But I don't even know where to start when picturing #aptophilia

Kinda confused by the term #aptophilia ever since I've seen it crop up here...

I researched it a bit and I kinda get it. I guess it's not only about having an unusual anatomy, but actually using it. I see how I'd fall under that with my mimic face and its prehensile tongue.

But the term seems to be generic and liberal enough that it could encompass anything non-human (i.e. furry). I originally thought it was used to refer to any character with a big tail!
