The reason they look so similar and there is so many of them is because there were actually contracting companies who built them.
They weren't limited to the royalty, instead any Nabatean who could afford one had one commissioned for them and their family as a hereditary tomb.

It is impressive how #India gets to be one country despite its #diversity yet #Arabs canβt unite not even economically. Couldnβt even unite #UAE, #Qatar and #Bahrain and they speak the same dialect*. Of course the reason for both is #imperialism.
* Bahrain and Qatar were going to be the 8th and 9th UAE emirates but dialogue failed.

Arabs were already established in Iraq and Syria before Islam.
Heaven forbid though you say that, you will be labled an Arab supremacist even if you cite a Jewish Israeli author (The ancient Arabs : nomads on the borders of the fertile crescent, 9th-5th century B.C.)

To the contrary - they were mostly illiterate and had no oral or written legends that went back that far.

There are a lot of #African refugees living there, but I did not see any of them working.
Those who work, the native French and sometimes #Arabs, can work, but knowing English for them is like working for Africans.
Young people and old people don't work in all three categories, but young people may know English.
I never met the #police there.
