This charming #spider hung around a back door until the resident children adopted it and named it Munchy. The children were very solicitous of Munchy's health and happiness over the following days until, as spiders will, Munchy moved on.
I'm guessing that Munchy is a Cross Orbweaver, aka European Garden Spider (Araneus diadematus).
