Who likes #Acorn #Archimedes stuff? I managed to obtain this huge folder of services manuals for several different models. In the back it even has schematics for the A3000 which unfolds to what must be at least A1 size.

An #Acorn #Archimedes A4x0 motherboard has appeared. I was interested in it for the ARM3 upgrade which I might use on my A3000, no idea if the board works. Going to be interesting trying to find out.

Today i tried another all-time-favourite game of mine: #Elite
I own a copy for #Acorn #Archimedes computers so i played that version, although on my #MIST #FPGA because i couldn't get it to run properly on the RISCPC and the A3010 is not set up currently. It runs really smooth and has some features that other versions don't have but there is a big drawback: No music! Whether on the title screen nor while docking. 😞

@derSammler nice, i didn't even know that there was a native port of TLN for #riscos #archimedes.

I wanted to upgrade my #Acorn #Archimedes A3000 RAM, but didn't want to pay the earth for it. So I designed a 4MB upgrade that uses a 72pin SIMM. Need to do some probing before I attempt to power it on, but it fits!
In keeping with my silly naming I call it the SIMMulation 😀

Thinking today that #Archimedes was right, but maybe not in the way he meant.  We have invented a million new kinds of levers (or their descendants) and now are moving the #Earth – mostly without even wanting to.

I don't know why but I almost always find the axial capacitors #Acorn used in #Archimedes and #RiscPC have lost half their capacitance. The radials used are usually fine.

So last weekend, got the #Acorn #Archimedes out running #RISCOS to play some #retro #StarFighter3000 still a fantastic game to this day!

Was available on other platforms like #DOS, #Dreamcast and #PlayStation but the #RISCOS version was by far the best - with its unlimited view distance, the world would actually just tile off repeatedly into the distance

Anyone else read the Linux Format article this Month about Acorn, BBC and the Arc? I think the writer needs to do a bit more research on their history. He claimed the Acorn A3000 was the first commercially available computer with an Arm and that it came with Arthur (instead of RISC-OS), the Spectrum and CBM64 came out in 1984 and a screenshot of Chuckie Egg with the caption 'Manic Miner running on BeebEm'. 😂

Freu mich total, dass es meiner Boa richtig gut geht. War heute das erste Mal (seit seiner Geburt vor 7 Jahren 😅) beim Tierarzt zum Check-up. Der Tierarzt war begeistert von ihm und die TFA fanden meinen Archimedes super süß. Ansich muss man mit Reptilien nicht zum Tierarzt, sofern man nix außergewöhnliches am Verhalten, o.ä. feststellt, aber iwie dachte ich mir es muss mal sein. *erleichtert bin*
