Interesting archive TV repeat on Talking Pictures TV in the UK tonight - "The Wimbledon Poisoner" from 1994 starring Robert Lindsay and Alison Steadman. As far as I can see its not been repeated by the BBC since the mid-90s. In two parts, today and tomorrow.

Great charity shop find - the novel of 1975 kids drama “Striker” by Kenneth Cope (yes, that one) - if I recall correctly another example of pre-Grange Hill gritty drama for children.

The lead character lived in a caravan with his Dad, who I seem to remember was a former professional footballer who lost his career through injury.
