I got debugging working again and (still) see an error related to the GLThread of Godot, but I just cant understand it or where it actually comes from.
I think I will stop working on the plugin for now. It's just so tiresome.
Let's put some more hours into the #godotengine #arcore plugin.

Why have a simulator in OpenGL at all, if no objects can show up there?! Disable is entirely then.
There is no indication, no warning, just a generally bad documentation of ARFoundation and it's versions, that do or do not show up in the package manager. And that is "By Design"?

OMG finally. Debug symbols for Godot.
using target=debug instead of target=release_debug helps a ton btw...
Some new progress on the Godot ARCore Plugin! (For me at least...)
Turns out, I was not on par with the current progress yet, but now I am! I now get to the creation of an ARSession.
The problem was the <queries> introduced with API Level 30 (https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/manifest/queries-element), which also affects ARCore, as it is distributed via PlayStore as an App as well.
So now my smartphone (API Level 30+) interacts with ARCore and gets to instantiating the ARSession.
Let's try running it in an emulator, as I am once again running out of ideas 😂
