111 followers · 101 posts · Server mastodon.onlineStarted poking about with #ardour7 today thinking I'd get working on some composition I've been saying I'd do for ages .. instead found a bug crashing the application when opening the synth plugin GUI, signed up for the Ardor bug tracker, learned how to debug (yay #documentation !) to add a log to the report from another user, and didn't compose more than four bars of bleeps 🤣
Still, a good use of time and hopefully helping to fix the issue in the long run!

Just for fun and because I could. I have to say that #pipewire really makes Jack much easier to work with. Connecting everything to #Ardour7 was super easy with #qpwgraph as well.

Ya he compilado el daw Ardour 7.1 en GNU/Linux! La novedad más destacable es "clip launching" similar al de Ableton Live y otros. Si eres músico profesional (o no tanto) y entusiasta del audio prueba este DAW, no decepciona.

502 followers · 2821 posts · Server sonomu.clubI've been having a few problems with #Ardour7, namely "Strip Silence" freezes it when "Apply" is clicked. Adding a new time signature does the same, but only sometimes. Anyone else have these problems or something similar?
I'm on Arch Linux. I have one computer using a #jack config that worked fine in Ardour6, and another computer running #pipewire and #pipewire-jack. Same problem on both.
