It's 1936, at what will become known as Argus Camera, and a patent is filed for a plastic camera with a collapsible lens that uses "miniature" (35mm) film. Its first version of a Leica for the proletariat, the Argus A will sell 30,000 units in its first week on the market at $10 a pop.
