Last night I started on a project for a friend.

It is an alt-sculpt for Padre-Inquisitor Mendoza for the game #aristeia

I like having some variety in skin tones, so decided that since I was planning osl flames next to bare skin it would look good with dark skin.

Only after I started I noticed the chains I thought were only wrapped around his wrists are actually connected to a manacle around his neck.

So, I guess this is now an avenging angel who is avenging a very specific injustice.

I'm fine with this.

This miniature is at a very early stage I call flatting when I've blocked in the colours without being concerned about coverage.

It will all be repainted during the "rendering" stage.

now I just need to paint Gata to finish the box, her sculpt is real dang mushy, it'll be a great exercise in putting a ceiling on things before calling completion

Had a game of #aristeia with a friend at my local store. Love trying out newly painted miniatures for the first time.

A nice thing about Aristeia is that minis come back when they die. Important since new paintjobs die first.

After a bout of Covid I'm finally back painting. This is Fiddler, a character for the game #aristeia and #infinity.

She is a trans woman in a robotic body she literally designed and built herself and I think that's amazing. I'm actually painting the little drones she builds but these pictures are better.
