All-female #postpunkband uit Londen, opgericht in 2007 door Rivka Gillieron, Sarah Datbylgu en Billy Easter.
De band word dikwijls vergeleken met #TheFall.
In 2008 brengen ze hun debuut Enterprise Reversal uit en trekken op tournee met oa #AriUp, #TheGossip en #EltonJohn.
En in 2012 trekken ze ook op tournee met hun grote voorbeeld The Fall.
Als Rivka zwanger is zet de band even alles stil, om dan sinds 2015 uit te pakken met hun derde album Divine Times.

This obituary of Nora Forster is absolutely amazing. Described as a "German heiress" born in 1942, ends up marrying Johnny Lydon (Rotten), 14 years her junior, in the 70s. And then they stayed married. Oh, and she also happens to be the mother of Ari Up, lead singer of The Slits. F*cking amazing stuff.

Het was een cover van The rightous brothers, in de USA zou de single niet uitgebracht worden omdat Gloria Gaynor het nummer bracht, maar werd de b-kant een hit, en niet Substitu. Wat voor Clout dan een gemiste kans werd om door te breken in de USA.
