Yesterday I went into #ArlingtonVirginia to see Synetic Theater's production of Beauty and the Beast. I thought it was excellent!

Synetic (https://synetictheater.org/) is known for dialogue-free shows, including a wordless Hamlet; they specialize in physical acting. This one doesn't go that far, but there's still only one speaker in this show, the goddess/fairy Emmeranne who curses a prince so that he becomes the Beast. And there's a lot of movement: there are some exciting fight scenes and some of the dance scenes become ballets. It's beautifully staged, too, using shadow puppets very effectively. Highly recommended.
