je teste présentement ArmorPaint (un ersatz de SubstancePainter, mais tout libre).
Franchement c'est prometteur, la prise en main n'est pas forcément simple et y en encore des défauts, mais ça vaut le coup d'œil.
Il coûtes 19€ , c'est pour soutenir le projet.
sinon, si comme moi vous êtes méfiant avant d'acheter, on peut compiler à partir des sources (ça se fait bien). (SubstancePainter est à 19 mensuel...)

Nice! ArmorPaint ( the FOSS substance painter contender in development by the #Armory3D team - armorpaint.org ) just added particle brushes to do effects based on particles such as rain soaked material, or dew beading on glass... 😍

Looks great! #GodotEngine has really come a long way. The triplanar textured, geometry based modelling part of the video was especially useful.

@reduz@mastodon.gamedev.pla mentions that there's no #FOSS alternative to #SubstancePainter though. Is he aware of #ArmorPaint? Binaries are not gratis, but the project and code is #FOSS / #libre.
