Prosecutors have filed new court documents. They say #Armourer #HannahGutierrezReed (currently charged w/ Manslaughter) was hungover that day, after a previous night of drinking & drugs.

#AlecBaldwin claims the prop gun misfired, killing Cinematographer #HalynaHutchins.

In April, charges against Baldwin were dropped, due to "new evidence." However, these new docs require Prosecutors to make a final determination on charges within 60 days.

So no... There was no possible mix-up with live ammo.

Reports from the stage crew (and one of the reasona for them walking off set) was that the guns had been used during filming downtime to target shoot, using live rounds. The #Armourer is supposed to keep guns locked up when not in use, so this would have been another safety violation.

Most likely, someone doing that target shooting left a live round in the gun, and left more live rounds nearby.

The other kind has a VERY obvious visual difference in the color of the bullet end.

These produce the SOUND (and sometimes smoke) of a gunshot, when fired. They can still injure someone who is too close (like a firecracker might). Set people and equipment are supposed to have shielding and protective armour when these are in use, and cannot be placed close to the prop gun, for safety.

The #Armourer is ALWAYS responsible for loading any gun with the proper ammunition, as needed.

An #Armourer is supposed to know how to tell the diff btwn live rounds and prop rounds. It is her job to know. If she couldn't do the job, she shouldn't have been there.

There are two kinds of prop rounds:

One has "beads" inside them that make noise when you shake them. They LOOK real, but they SOUND fake. An Armourer is supposed to check for this sound. These are used only for close-ups of guns being loaded...

I have a daughter abt the same as as the #Armourer there, who works in #theatre as a #Stage Tech. She's been given responsibility w/guns before, & puts much (but not all) of the blame on the weapons person, #HannahGuttierezReed .

One problem is that Baldwin made the Armourer job a PT position, & had Guttierez doing other things at the time. BUT, she should've locked up the guns, so no one could use them on her absence.

She also allowed live ammo on the set-- when it should NEVER be.

Sadly, because someone was shot, someone has to get arrested.

My daughter works in theatre & has been in charge of stage guns before. She is abt the same age as the #Armourer here. That young lady was responsible for checking the guns & didn't. She deserves jail.

Several people failed, in order for the #Rust shooting to happen. Live ammo should NEVER be on a set! #AlecBaldwin is a great actor, but he was also the producer here, & must take responsibility in that.
