#aroace I struggle with defining romance/"in love" bc I am admittedly not romantic in any traditional sense, but I think I do little romantic things, mostly out of an anxiousness to please?

I think that if I had zero anxiety, I'd just be a cuddle-bro to everyone that made me want to cuddle them, and I'd pet them and call them pretty and make them sandwiches, and idk what to call that

There are 5 people on this planet that I really, really like. All of them women I wanted to be friends with and/or was for a while.
One of them I had sexual interest in (that was before I took hormones and "became" asexual).
Another one I had romantic interest in for a while.
All of them I have platonic feelings for.

I never have feelings, even platonic ones for men, but how can I then say they are just platonic?
My therapist is sure those are romantic feelings for those women.

What do you think? Does anybody have experience with platonic feelings to just one gender?

If I become totally dependent on them to the point where they all can't bare me anymore and cut me off completely, isn't that a bit much to call it platonic?

I miss them all so much, one of them even after more than a decade.

I'm Julia (not my IRL name), she/they but not picky. #aroace, some flavour of NB (demi-apagender? idek), #disabled #neurodivergent and #autistic. I have "mild" #hEDS which means I don't sublux or dislocate often but have chronic joint pain and have passed out from #POTS symptoms more than once after a shower bc my body can't regulate its temp. I love #cats and #blaseball (even tho it's dead) and indie #perfume. #LRR fan since DB3!

I’m currently developing something fresh for later in the year. However this new project made me evaluate my existing Community: LGBTQIA+ Colours greetings card.

Doing a little more research, I found that I’d missed out a whole bunch of Pride flags from my original design.

So this iteration includes colours for the stripes of the: #Aroace; #Aroflux; #Finsexual; #Greysexual; #Gynephilic; #Lithosexual; #Lithoromantic; #Minsexual; #Multisexual; #Neptunic; and #Queer Pride flags.

Zany, quirky, humorous but biting at points, about shapeshifters... accidentally clashing with an alien invasion. The most realistic depiction of having to give The #Aroace 101 Talk (The MC to their new roommates like, [sigh] "I'm #asexual and #aromantic. That means...") subverted in the best way, haha.

This June, I will attend a #Pride event like I did last year. I do this to show to my local town that #asexual and #aromantic people like me exist and there is no shame in that. These are both identities that often tend to be "forgotten" even in very #queer spaces.
