I didn't prune the tops of the chokeberrybush and now it looks like I'm going to have a nice crop! Maybe I can make some syrup to last me through the winter. Or some nice aronia liqueur!

This week I plan to share some 'toots' about my recent 'toil in the soil' as I prepare the yard for spring.

One task involved planting two Aronia melanocarpa 'Nero' bushes in the side garden between my house and my neighbours' to the north. Whether the plants produce abundant berries is secondary to getting something that will thrive in a less-than-optimal location with only partial sun.
