Thank you. I agree, these are widespread impacts where the aquifer has unconsolidated sediments e.g. those found in river flood plains.

In southwest Western Australia the rocks are lithified (but only just, they were previously sand dune and only turned to rock in the last 100,000s of years) and as the #groundwater is lowered, I don't think we'll see much #subsidence.

There's very little natural #arsenic too, as that is normally associated with organic sediments in alluvial (river) aquifers, and the coastal limestone is very pure.
