Today I discovered three Art Bears songs that I never knew about before... seemingly taken from b-sides and compilations back in the late 70s, and reissued on an old CD version of "Hopes and Fears".

These tracks are great too... intense and disquieting in the best possible way, way ahead of their time.

If all 70s prog music sounded like this, I'd probably listen to 70s prog all the time.

Hmmm, U-Totem's "Strange Attractors" (1995) is a great art/rock/avant/RiO/prog album that I only discovered today....

But everyone else in my family hated it, so I threw on "Fast as a Shark" instead.

One for the headphones maybe.

More #FredFrith, tonight. Some marvelous bits including a lengthy performance of the original #SkeletonCrew lineup of #Frith and Tom Cora. I was fortunate to have seen one of their gigs at Northwestern around '83 if I recall correctly. The show had a lasting impact and permanent influence. Being introduced to #ArtBears, Frith and the whole #RalphRecords catalogue at a young age really expanded my musical palate.
