@WeavingWithAI I'm often amazed at how spelling mistakes play out in the results. Sometimes it seems like the system* recognizes the misspelled name or word anyway, and delivers accordingly. Other times not — yet the results can be serendipitously satisfying. I'll check to see if changing to Romaine makes a difference.

*I'm currently using . The Discord interface for Midjourney drove me nuts, so I'm holding out for their web version.

@WeavingWithAI I had not heard of her before, but I do like her art.

I'm always looking to combine multiple artists' styles — either along the lines of perceived compatibility, or perceived disharmony. I've been experimenting today with portraits based on the combined styles of Valadon, Edward Hopper, Romain Brooks, and Richard Diebenkorn — and I'm liking the results. So thank you for bringing her to my attention.

Left: Stevie, right: Robin. Siblings. The images are created with . I like to have images, makes it easier for me to 'see' things in my mind. But I'm not fond of looking for actor or model pictures, they're real people, I don't want to see them as my characters. I also collect landscape art and photographs, nature scenes and the like. All of this is just for me, I tick visually.

Artbreeder made a neat copyright trick: they acknowledge users as copyright holders of AI generated oictures, but... all the pictures created are automatically licensed under Creative Commons CC0 license terms, which are almost equal to the public domain regime.

Yes, we are not perfect. But this is us and No one can replace.
