My weekend cyanotype experiments went well but I had to cut them short because it got so cloudy and I don't have a UV light (yet).
Still, wanted to share my progress so far. I tested it on two types of paper: normal sketch paper and a watercolor paper (from flying tiger, so I guess not the highest artist grade.)
Both papers worked great, but the watercolor paper suffered a lot less during the rinsing process.

I'm giving the cube-headed doll design a second go. There are technique issues I want to better sort out. Along with the the steps required in a more ordered sequence. I've been tinkering with photochromic pigment experiments this week! They remind me of playing with sunprint paper, or the process of preparing photo emulsions for screenprinting. Experimenting with photochromic pigment embedded in other materials like bioplastics or in this case, glue. Using a UV pen you can make ephemeral paintings. Photo one is the paper before painting and photo two is the paper after. The painting only lasts for a couple of minutes! I love how the strokes of the brush I used to paint the glue + pigment mix on this piece of paper become visible when the pigment changes colors. #tinkering #artexperiment #making

Aujourd'hui j'ai (presque) pas bossé.
J'ai juste fait quelques essais de textures et vieillissements en cyanotype. Avec de la mousse de produit vaisselle et du curcuma.
(Puis j'ai imprimé d'autres cyanotype, puis j'ai fait un nouveau nouveau modèle, ouais, j'ai bossé quoi)

This was a fun one because I had so much room to play with.
In my head there's a big difference in scale between some of the figures, which is harder to do on a smaller piece of paper.
