"Dinosaurs": Based on a photo I took some years ago in Manhattan. The two shipping cranes looming above the water reminded me so much of a pair of lumbering dinosaurs staring out over the waves, and I felt the ultramarine and electric blues gave it a strong graphic flair. Yellow or variations thereof shows up in my art sometimes--it's maybe tertiary or even quaternary in terms of what I turn to and use most. This piece came out of a spontaneous expressive drawing and developed from there, with a lovely yellow background. jon-woodhams.pixels.com/featur

I find that my art tends to fall into a few different categories, one of which is geometric.
