Minor medical / #nonbinary rant: Got a knee X-ray today to confirm probable diagnosis of #arthritis. 😢 The intake form had checkboxes only for "Male" and "Female". I reluctantly chose the former. Then I tried to access the website for a local LGBT newspaper, but the WiFi blocked it as an "adult" site.

The staff treated me well at least. The receptionist addressed me as Pax, which I prefer. The technician addressed me as "Mr. Gethen", but was fine when I said "Please just call me Pax".

Following on from my previous post:
Hospital is trying to fit ma in for emergency reconstructive surgery tomorrow. At this point she's refusing the idea of post-care rehab though 🤦🏼‍♂️.

She also refuses to be placed in an on-call unit. I'm frustrated that there is nothing I can do from Naarm whilst she is on Kaurna country.

And I'm angry that she stopped using her personal alert watch for her falls, which are getting more frequent and more severe. And I'm angry she isn't using her mobility aides.

And I want to cry cos I'm not ready to lose her yet.

Since my surgery the pain has lessened (woot) but I still have my hip/joint issues to contend with along with weakened core.
