Lots of fun today scanning installation photos for the exhibition "Michelangelo Pistoletto: Furniture-Environments," which the Georgia Museum of Art presented April 15 – May 13, 1979. Not only does the show itself look very interesting, but there are lots of process shots of the installation itself. Not every show in our files has these, so it's exciting to find them.

I wrote up some notes on how to set up my on an old (2005ish) laptop:

Needs less than 4GB disk space when done (OS + software + swap partition).

Exercise 1: turn this into a script to make a live distro for boot from USB.

Exercise 2: check if the GPU on a Raspberry Pi 3 or 4 is powerful enough to run it at 1024px.

Exercise 2.1: If so, consider porting it to a Kodi add-on for LibreELEC.

Exercise 3: see how much GPU power is required to run it at 2048px (candidates for testing: NVIDIA G105M laptop, NVIDIA GTX 550Ti desktop, AMD RX 580 desktop). Check if sound over HDMI will cause issues.
