For this week’s #FridayFavorites I’d like to share Sia’s song ‘Alive’, from her album ‘This is Acting’.
I heard this song by chance one very dark day. It became my anthem during my early days of accepting and reconciling extreme codependency, unaddressed PTSD, self-destructive addiction, and deep hopeless depression.
If you’re feeling hopeless, please, reach out. We are here for each other. 🖤

My partner and I facilitate a local art group, Queer Art Healing, held at our local Iowa Harm Reduction Coalition office twice a month.
Yesterday, I had no idea what to do. I looked at photos and came across one I saved of Yoko Ono from around the 60’s. Her hair was as unapologetically untamed as her work and she herself.
So here’s what I did, an ink pointillism of Yoko’s indomitable hair. I really enjoy this style as I’m learning drawing.

My partner gave me the most wonderful gift, truly thoughtful and close to my heart. Y’all, I damn near cried. 🥹
This is a zine from one of Yoko Ono’s art exhibits in the UK. Sharing what’s inside, so I hope you all enjoy. 🖤
The jigsaw puzzle piece is from her ‘Helmets’ installation, which featured several WWII helmets hanging from the ceiling, filled with pieces of a giant jigsaw puzzle of the sky. ☮️

Okay, I meant to share this earlier, but had a lot going on. 😵💫
For my first #FridayFavorites I’ll share ‘It’s Gonna Rain’ from Yoko Ono’s 2018 album, ‘Warzone’.
Yoko has been a major influence for me in my music, art, and healing. ☮️🖤

Just a few years throwback; my first visit to the Walker museum in August 2020, sitting next to a TV looping Yoko Ono’s ‘Cut Piece’ from 1965.
“That was a frightening experience, and a bit embarrassing. It was something that I insisted on — in the Zen tradition of doing the thing that is most embarrassing for you to do, and seeing what you come up with, and how you deal with it.” -Yoko Ono

Finally obtained a 4th ed. copy of Yoko Ono’s instructions & drawings book, ‘Grapefruit’.
I wanted this edition because of the cover and the additional pieces and drawings included.
I’ll never finish reading it, because per her instructions, I’d then have to burn it.
WALK PIECE
Stir inside of your brains with a penis
until things are mixed well.
Take a walk.

I started experimenting in music during the pandemic, with only two goals: 1) make just one track, 2) spend no money doing it. I made two tracks. And while not one person has downloaded them, I loved the experience. So I invested in a midi keyboard controller, to continue the journey. My new goal: continue being vulnerable and just see what happens.

#introduction
Hi everyone! Active in the Iowa Leather/BDSM community. I’m an experimental mixed media artist and musician, privacy nut, and after an 8 year hiatus to reclaim my privacy from social media (except Scruff), and briefly trying Twitter, I heard about Mastodon through #tutanota, and found the awesome woof.group
I’ll probably be posting about Leather/BDSM, my Leather family, my music/art/musings, and Yoko Ono tweets. ☮️🖤
