In recent Decembers, I braved the cold to take a photograph of our village green Xmas tree.

I use a tripod and a very small aperture (which then needs a long exposure), this leads to an effect where light diffracts through the tiny gaps between the overlapping fins of the camera's iris to create starbursts.

This year, I also used that long exposure to create a light trail with my phone to sign it with my dB/.
