Pt 3.) I can see someone making the argument, "Oh this is a collage with heavy paint over", or "I used ai to just try and get an interesting shape. I think there is some flexibility here if we establish what is acceptable. But to take it and upload it wholesale is shameful.

Now more than ever we artist need to stick to our guns and bare our teeth. We cannot let any complacency or nihilistic attitudes settle in. Keep strong everyone and don't give up on the fight.

Pt.2) It disgusting to see this kickstarter actively try and pull from places like Artstation where artists are saying "No I do not consent to this". Is this how you act in your home lives? Just take things when people say no? It's just as disgusting to see it uploaded on Arstation wholesale as if they created it from scratch. As if any real decision making went into the creation process. Pic is a screenshot from the kickstarter.

Pt.1) I want to bring the conversation of ai art over to this platform because I think it's important. When I see kickstarters like this it makes me feel the general public does not have any respect and appreciation for what we do as artist. It takes so much time and dedication it takes to develop our craft. Years and years. To see non-artists do mental gymnastics on why this is ok is beyond me.
