Noob question: I'm testing #artix and there is this RSS app that I love, and I usually install it using the normal package manager in seconds.
Problem is that this app is only in #AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/quiterss), and I'm using #yay to install it (yay -S quiterss). But it's taking forever to compile, it took around 35 minutes, and it was around 65%, but I had to cancel bc I had to go out.
Am I doing something wrong, or it's the way it is?

Update: I just installed #Artix by the way. The war against systemd continues.
Anyone know if it's possible to install *-debug packages on #artix ?
I sometimes need to debug things on offline systems where connecting to a debuginfod server isn't possible.
#arch publishes their debug packages to a subset of their pacman mirrors. Artix used to do this too, but I can no longer find any mirrors, at all, with debug packages.
Ok none of the distros that I wanted to try worked so I ended up with #artix :artix:.
So my #conky font color has jumped to blood-red between two updates for no reason. Like, no other setting in there that can possibly conflict with it. What in the heck has happened.
@calculsoberic enjoy! I've been thinking about slapping #artix back on my laptop lately...
In my case :
#Void base glibc/musl
#Void custom glibc/musl dwm
#Venomlinux runit+openbox
#Venomlinux sysv+openbox
#Artix base dinit
#Artix base runit
#Manjaro Plasma
#Arch-linux
#Devuan chimera
#Gparted Live
#Clonezilla
#void #venomlinux #artix #manjaro #arch #devuan #gparted #clonezilla
A veure, vaig perdut.
This #nextcloud eating 100% the CPU thing in #Artix has been dragging on quite a bit for my taste now... bug report, maybe?
So it looks like @Vivaldi .net's mail servers have been bouncing quite a lot of emails originating from some lists (for example, #Artix 's), to the point that some lists are issuing me ultimatums of termination if this persists.
I don't know if this is some sort of spam protection or what, but it greatly breaks the dynamics of it (I receive something like 1/4 of all messages exchanged in it) and makes me reconsider using it.
Any ideas on how can this be fixed?
When you take so long to reboot your #Artix machine that you get to squeeze another kernel update in before rebooting to recover access to USB devices
#libreoffice seems to have broken in #Artix again.

I've definitely talked about it enough... I think I've definitely, maybe, probably decided to replace Arch with Artix on my laptop.
systemd has been extra buggy for me the last couple months with lid switch + suspend/hibernate issues, the refactoring of the backlight code... It's time to try something else.
Now I just need to decide between s6 and runit...

Extramarital affair ended with #guix, #artixLinux is my one true waifu!
In all seriousness, the guix/nix model is a cool idea but just not quite there for me yet. It's so hard to install experimental software, the copy-paste-compile-crash loop is so slow, etc. Even just trying to get #exwm to use #emacs29 was a vortex of frustration.
#artix on the other hand...
