Located between the historic Chapel & Depot at UpTop, Colorado, is a Contemplative Walk. Information explained, "it is a place for Mementos, especially red ones are welcome, as are bells. Please enjoy ringing the bells as you walk through these ." A sign on the first tree to the right as I was entering this forest walk read "Magdalene Woods Walk"

I'll never forget this day. It was a cold November morning at Shelley Lake in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was slowly walking along the greenway scanning the woods when I realized I was being watched!

I stood stunned as I watched this bald eagle stare at me for a minute before fishing off its morning breakfast which was a fish

My favourite way to speak artistically is through wood. My focus recently has been - specifically my decks - but wood is my heart’s best canvas. I prefer wood, often rescuing pieces from being firewood. I paint & draw on pieces, but is my favourite. All . Shown here are and I saved with permission from a log pile, and some and I got from a furniture makers offcuts.

Morning! Day 19 Eye contact Todays offering is a portrait of a Hassidic man. I follow Avi Kugielsky on Instagram (@hasidiiminusa) and he very kindly gave me permission to use his photo for this, it hangs in my living room. Sometimes something just has to be made and this is a prime example., the photo just spoke to me.

Baltimore Orioles are not resident birds of Texas but as they migrate we get a chance to see them. I spotted this one up high in a tree in Port Aransas on April 18th. Looks like it is posing but I promise it was moving swiftly all around the branches in the tree top! I was happy to get this image!

One of my favorite birds/raptors is the Barred Owl. This shot I feel is one of my best barred owl photos.

I was walking down the greenway path to Shelley Lake (Raleigh, North Carolina) and noticed this barred owl sleeping on a branch. There was sunlight peeking through the trees, so I took this shot at an angle to get some of the light. It was a great experience and the media pages for the park and city shared this photo
