Someone commented on one of my photographs that it was a “beautiful capture”. It made me feel like it was just a snapshot. Some photographs out there are so digitally manipulated they no longer seem to be real images; they are still stunning, but can you still call them photographs? I honestly don’t know. Photographers have been manipulating images from day one, instead of the computer, it was the dark room. I guess I take umbrage that if my photograph isn’t presented with a thousand filters, appears with a cursive watermark, and isn’t artistic in some way, that my photograph is somehow invalid. #Photography #Photographer #PhotographerRant #Art #ArtAdvice #ArtRant

I don't like the AI Artists tag their art as # digitalart because although technically correct, I feel that digital art is art drawn **on** a computer, not made **by** a computer.

Причина №2, почему я забросил рисование: боязнь референсов. Не знаю, почему, но я испытываю дискомфорт, когда пытаюсь рисовать что-то по референсам. В голове это воспринимается как "копирка", а это сразу начинает подавлять мотивацию. Даже советы мастеров ("Не надо бояться референсов!") не помогают.

#ArtRant: One of the most difficult and delicate issues I navigate as an #artist is family members requesting free #art.

It can be frustrating when I politely try to explain the time, energy and costs of art when they counter with; "But you're so talented, it shouldn't be THAT hard!" "But you do it for fun anyway!" or the worst is when they fastidiously offer compensation only to balk at my honest quote.

It is OK to tell people "No" and set healthy #boundaries with your art.
