I always giggle when I hear or read "Christi Himmelfahrt," the German name for Ascension Day.

I completely missed #AscensionDay this year but it's not really a big holiday in the UK.
I just looked up food traditions and apparently it is traditional in some parts of Europe to eat poultry, and especially pigeon, because Jesus 'flew' to heaven! 😄
I also found this cute bread which seems to represent that idea.
