Building on my Pecha Kucha session from #Ascilite22, here's a post with some more detail about our work around learning types, activities and patterns. Iโm really proud of this work and what my team has achieved in just a couple of years. Always keen to engage more around learning design practice and better ways we can do this type of work. https://timklapdor.wordpress.com/2022/12/14/design-at-scale/

Snuggling into the School of Business, went to #ascilite22, and then wrote this blog. There's lots of other informative posts in there, have a look around. And if you'd like to write one, you know who to call. https://twitter.com/CDRG_USYD/status/1602072785735532544

Now what? My short story from #ascilite22 journey this week. https://wentalearn.blogspot.com/2022/12/now-what.html?m=1
I presented a Pecha Kucha presentation yesterday at #Ascilite22 on the work we have been doing to scale up our #LearningDesign practices. This is the first time I've done this format of presentation, and the timing aspect was incredibly challenging - not the length, but the auto-progression.
The response has been hugely gratifying. It's a great privilege to get a chance to present our work to an audience, and fantastic that it leads to conversations about it.
@cheryb Given recent changes of ownership and ensuing #twittermigration - I think it would be better for educators and educational institutions to consider federated solutions for text chat like Matrix: https://matrix.org/ This way individual institutions can host their own matrix servers with the ability to communicate across instances. #ascilite22
Anyone using #Discord in their teaching? Keen to hear experiences Listening to Eva Heinrich and Lucila Carvalho From Massey University sharing their research. Seems great way to promote community across cohorts and years. #ascilite22
#ascilite22 As a prolific emoji user myself I loved hearing Sam Newell from Monash's research on Maximizing rapport. Apparently (according to student feedback) using (up to 3) smiley faces on an assessment helped them feel positive and confident about their learning without reducing their perception of your professionalism. :-) :-) :-)
Hot off the press. Just announced at #ASCILITE22 conference. #UCNZ are hosting #ASCILITE23 #Aotearoa #Otautahi next year https://2023conference.ascilite.org/ Come join us 3-6 Dec 2023

@gamerlearner @molliedollin Ahh more #Ascilite22 peeps here :-) Thanks for link to your Student Relationship Engagement System (SRES) research
#ascilite22 no surprises in what Peter Felten saying. Student-student; student-teacher relationships critical for learning. Feedback essential for self efficiacy. Always have something positive to say and give students input on how to develop further. Peer feedback helps.
Listening to Peter Felten https://www.centerforengagedlearning.org/about-cel/center-staff/peter-felten/ at #ascilite22 talking about space and the messages it sends of inclusion/ exclusion; reconnection/ disconection; agentic / passive learning
Anyone from #ascilite22 here? Im gonna toot not tweet during the conference in case anyone interested https://www.2022conference.ascilite.org/
