Any transfemmes out there use a combo of E patches and progesterone pills? I've only kinda recently started using P and I'm trying to figure out the right balance. I was doing three 100mcg E patches before, and I think maybe that was helpful to compensate for not having P, but now I'm also on 200mg of that and I feel like the combo makes me super emotionally volatile.

Of course that's not a very cis-normal combo, usually they rise and fall opposite each other.

I should just start taking estrogen to alleviate/repair my baldness cause TIL that is one effect. But I don't get then how finasteride comes into play... :blobcatthink:

Only other thing I wonder is if going on estrogen, even minimally as a medical need rather than full HRT, would help with depression/anxiety/my digestive issues/alleviating these gender thoughts #asktrans #hrt #estrogen #transgender as a stop gap between full grown boobage growth and major body changes in fat distribution + shrinking + feet changes + bone changes??

I think a lot of my gender envy and possible thoughts of wanting to be a woman is more, envy of how well put together women are. And how much more diverse women's clothing are. So I feel perhaps there's lack of self esteem at play too making me feel as though perhaps transition may help, but I am just not sure honestly... It's a big thing. I am not really sure what I want, and maybe I'm not even non binary but just genderfluid instead. May be that even transition being the wrong option and instead I just make myself look and feel cute and such. Nothing stopping me from shaving my body hair, or growing head hair out, or buying women's clothing that works for my body type

So yeah I definitely feel like I want to maybe transition, or just present more fem, or whatever, but like I'm just curious what people think of the following, of my personal interests:

* prefer female leads/female characters in video games, movies, media, etc.

* picks female characters in video games more often than male, for example in the fallout series (whereas in the elder scrolls series I normally do male, idk just cowboy/wasteland babes = heart eyes)

* prefer female oriented comics, romance comics, etc.
Currently reading Hard Lacquer on Tapas and it's SO GOOD and everyone is really cute

* strong desire for relationships that mirror wlw relationships moreso than mlm or cishet relationships. and perhaps this is just my flawed view of them based on media representation, or what people draw in their comics or share stories of, or what I see in social media posts. generally the relationships being trusting, comfortable, soft, lovin, fun and exploratory, indoor and/or outdoor, books and tea and relaxing and video games and movies, sharing caring and comfort, cats or animals in general??

but that also may just be me having limited relationship experience and thus that's what I desire in relationships in general... so yeah flawed maybe??

So just wondering what people think of this. And everything mentioned is like... stuff I've liked since I was in my early teens...

Serious question:

If I were to start HRT, and have grown breasts, and then later stop taking HRT and effectively revert back to a male presentation and being of body and such (testosterone and etc)...
What happens with the breast tissue and such? Does it go... back in? Does it get redistributed to other parts of the body? Would it act like a muscle that I no longer work on or something?

Thank you for helping me understand what I think would not be a situation I would be in, but something quite pressing on my mind otherwise.

I have seen some posts and stuff here and there that HRT is taken by needle or related processes.

I really dislike needles and poking myself like that, so I am just wondering if it's possible to go through HRT and transitioning fully with pills and the like?

Is there any benefit to taking the injection based methods?

thinking about getting my facial hair waxed.... i'm finding the always present stubble kinda... dysphoriating? frustrating maybe... idk. like I just don't feel I'll pass with facial hair, or will be more male presenting with even the least bit of stubble...
Not really sure, like I try my best to shave close and with the grain, but it's never enough. and with the grain is HARD to do cleanly without causing infection or ingrown hairs, bah
