"In a major defeat for the Conservative government, the High Court has today (Thursday) ruled that its agency worker regulations are unlawful, after a successful legal challenge by trade unions – coordinated by the TUC.

The “strike-breaking” regulations were brought in last summer and allow agencies to supply employers with workers to fill in for those on strike."

Last week was mostly work, eight days straight (four days driving, four of #ASLEF union business).

I managed to get out for a walk around Churwell yesterday. Here's the view looking back towards #Leeds from near the M621. Four Buzzards circle high overhead.

There was a 99% vote for #srike action (on a ballot turnout of 77%) by London Underground members of my #ASLEFunion.

Finn Brennan, full-time ASLEF District Organiser on the Underground, gave a very comprehensive interview on LBC earlier today.

Sadly, I don't have a transcript of the interview available, however, I am also sharing a link to the LBC article published today that summarises some of the points raised by Finn today.

Perplexed that you think ASLEF and RMT 'staff' are morons. Are you meaning staff employed by those unions, or members of those unions? (I am one of the latter).

Happy to engage with you on this matter (if you want), as I am in broad agreement with other views you share on your timeline.

I'm reaching out purely in the spirit of a good-natured discussion (albeit one where the starting point is you possibly thinking me a 'moron'). I'm hopeful we do this in the opposite way things are often conducted on the bird site.
