#asoiaf #calendar there’s also Mel walking on the Wall and Bael the Bard at Stark court (the latter not working for me, but the dancing Stark daughter reminds of Lyanna dancing on the tree) credits: #justinsweet

still working my way through my #gameofthrones reread.
i thought it was canon that coldhands, the no-longer-quite-human man in black beyond the wall, was benjen stark.
but the good #asoiaf wiki says that JRRM has stated categorically that he’s not benjen. i think i got that assumption from the TV series, bc benjen does help bran, jojen, and meera beyond the wall, at least on screen. i’m going to rewatch a few episodes to see how they portrayed it.
Now let us look back at the map of the northern map, in particular below the Dreadfort. Do you recognise the same shape of that river? It’s called Broken Branch and all feeders start in the sheepshead hills: Targs the broken branch from Old Valyria which lies east from Westeros. We have a seat here as well just before the Bite: Ramsgate .., Ouch: the one born from the wolves and rams gate? 🥶 And east of Valyria we have Widow’s Watch (house flint, Dany Flint) alone at Slaver’s Bay 😩 #asoiaf
And we have 5 forts in between this giant Red Lake (Brandon of the Bloody Blade) and the Mountains of the Morn/Dawn/Dayne. #asoiaf A wall 🤔
Let’s zoom in on the Bleeding Sea (Red Lake) and mountains south east of it, the Mountains of the Morn(ing) Are they connected by rivers? Yes, they are! But it is cut short before a third branch can steam jn. 🤔. It ends in a city called Yinqi which in Chinese means “to cause”. 😱 We also find the city of the Winged Men in the Mountains of the Morn, which matches with WF 🤯#asoiaf
Now look at pic 1 again and the shape of the mountains of the mountain clans: like a spine, vertical and west of long lake. It should look familiar. Any ideas yet? The Bone Mountains, so grab map of The East. And blow up the White Knife image east of Mountains. #asoiaf
Now let’s zoom in on the 3rd branch from Wolfswood and Winterfell and rotate it a few degrees clockwise. It’s a mini version of the bigger White knife: 2 streams just beneath a long lake shaped lake join and 3 rd branch lower left. #asoiaf. What could it mean? Blow it up mentally and WF matches with Lonely Mountains and the lake of Wolfswood with Long Lake.
#asoiaf lands of ice and fire map stuff. Map of the West, the North, particularly the White Knife (White Sword/Dawn) which originates from 2 feeders farther north. 1 from long lake and 1 from Lonely Mountains. Much lower/later 3rd stream from Wolfswood and Winterfell joins, before it passes the Wolf’s Den before the Bite. Remember that river = time.
Only 51 views on the coolest #ASOIAF theory I've heard in a while.
Explanation for the Night Fort kitchen, and it's weird Weirwood tree.
#asoiaf Finally my part 1 essay on Brandon the Builder in the Blood Seal thesis: I mostly delve in etymology of names and their parallels - the Brandons, the Ricks and the Wardens. https://sweeticeandfiresunray.com/2023/08/17/brandons-blood-seal-3/
