Who comes up with these stupid #rating scales?

If you can't open the image, it is basically asking me to rate (on a scale of 1-10) whether I would recommend a service I used, with the following rating definitions:

1-6 Not at all likely
7-8 Not sure
9-10 Extremely likely

Isn't that just a 1-5 (or just a Yes/No/Maybe?) with extra stupidity? Also, what about 'somewhat likely'? Why should everything be superlative?

There are some I wish I could avoid, but work is work.
If we start at the top of my #assholedesign list, there's Apple Business Manager. Ok, fine, it'll work if you bother to change the user agent, but still.
Not so with Microsoft Teams. Unless you're willing to skip the video calls you'll have to get Edge, Chrome, or possibly some other Chromium based browser.

I almost signed up for a stupid personal loan because I was in a hurry to make an online payment and ended up tapping on the ad instead!!

Is there a way to raise enough of a ruckus that can stop banks from displaying these sh*tty full-screen ads in their apps?

a) For å få ut data fra ett år må man laste ned og sammenstille 12 rapporter manuelt. b) All data som er mer enn 11 måneder gammel får du uansett kun som PDF. Noe som vil si at ikke engang data fra ligningsåret kan hentes. c) og at den eneste måten å skrape data fra +11 mnd, er via OCR og masse manuelt klikkearbeid... d) i motsetning til Min Økonomi, mangler transaksjonene kategori. 😤 #assholedesign

Asshole design: Make readable fonts for everything except the fine print on restrictions and limits for the point reedem rewards. The perpetrator? Burger King. And this comes after hiding the prices of everything until they are on the cart.

@mharleydev Some banks push an #assholeDesign whereby they send two MIME parts, one text, one html, & the text version says something like “your mail client is too old— upgrade needed”. Other banks put html in the text MIME part. So indeed it’s a disaster.

Something that makes me more doubtful is that #NeoBanks like #Bunq (a #Dutch #banking app) implemented a feature of #WheelOfFortune.

Which gives you #prizes if only you first spend an amount of money. This is the prime example of #FOMO and how a company can use it to prevent their customers from money saving at the same time that boosts #profit.

I hate this pattern where on the app/websites they ask you "DO YOU WANT X?" and the possible answers are "YES" or "not now, ask me again later".

It should be illegal to apply this anti-pattern to stuff like notifications or marketing emails.

Reincubate / Camo Studio just charged me 40 euro for the camo studio license. Last year I bought it for around 20. Now they charging me, without any prior notice, happily just taking money from my account. All that while they are kinda easily replaceable by a native iOS solution.

Have fun and good luck. If I don’t get refund from them I’m gonna do a chargeback and forget their name forever,
