Watched #AMillionLittlePieces (2018) this morning. I think it captured the difficulties of early recovery and rehab really well. #AaronTaylorJohnson is fantastic in the lead role too.
Other movies about #sobriety and #addiction that I've enjoyed since I got sober are #AStarIsBorn (2018) and #28Days (2000).

"Une étoile est née" #AStarIsBorn de 1937 se termine sur une image de son propre scénario (texte de la séquence vue juste avant). Très étonnant, je n'avais jamais vu ça ! La dimension "commentaire de Hollywood sur soi-même" portée à son summum.

Now on BBC2, one of my favourite films of recent times. Both Bradley Cooper and Gaga are fantastic in it. All the song clips are live takes. I love it; such a great take of love, fame, addiction. Brilliant sound track too.

So I watched last night the film 'A Star is Born'. It was one of the worst films I watched, but on the other hand I enjoyed the drag queens.

I gave it 6 stars on IMDb. 4 for the film, 1 extra for the drag queens and 1 extra for the film being so bad that I had a good time finding it bad.

Why?

Cause it was the cheesiest film I watched since ages and so fucking predictable! Everyone knows that Jack was going to die and why did they marry? Damn, that is not rock & roll!

And let's talk about Lady Ga Ga. Yes, she acted well, but what about her mother? Only one mention of her. Jack had more of a background story in the film than Ally (Ga Ga)! And those songs where so cheesy, especially the last one on the funeral.

Damn, the Sound of Music is even less cheesy and at least has gained a bit of a cult status.

P.S. When I went to IMDb I saw that this film was a remake of a remake of a remake. So I really don't understand why people like it. Don't have people any dignity nowadays!
